Warranty Information

Janome includes a standard warranty with every new machine, covering faults and defects from manufacturing, as long as the machine is used and maintained according to the manual.

⚠️ Important: Please keep the original packaging in case the machine needs to be returned for repair.

Key Warranty Details:

  • Standard warranty: 2 years (parts & labour)
  • HD9 model: 12-month warranty
  • Domestic use only - commercial/teaching use: 1 year
  • Educational discount machines: No warranty

🛠 The Sewing Studio is an authorised Janome service centre. We carry out warranty repairs in-house, so if anything goes wrong, our expert technicians can take care of it for you.

Can the Warranty Be Extended?

Yes! You can extend the standard 2-year warranty to a maximum of 5 years by purchasing an extended warranty from Janome within 30 days of purchase.

  • The first 2 years are covered by us (The Sewing Studio)
  • Any extended years are handled directly by Janome

Details of the extended warranty can be found in the box with your new machine or on Janome’s website.

What’s Not Covered?

The warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental damage or general wear and tear
  • Timing issues
  • Consumables and minor parts such as:
    • Needle threaders, needles, bobbins, bobbin cases, needle plates
    • Light bulbs, blades, belts, presser feet, embroidery frames, and tools

How Do I Register My Machine?

Each machine comes with a Warranty Registration Card — simply fill it in and send it off.

You can also register your machine online on Janome's website
