What support do I get when purchasing a Janome?

Janome is the world's number one choice for Sewing Machines and Overlockers. From a basic mechanical to a fully computerised machine, Janome have tools to help you get the most out of your machine. You can access their support page where you will find technical support, a community forum and frequently asked questions. 

There are also lots of tools available to help you learn, including webinars, you tube channel, virtual events and Inspire - free patterns to make on your Janome machine and inspiring embroidery designs. You can access all this and more here

Warranty Information

For your peace of mind, Janome offer a warranty with all new machines to protect against any manufacturing faults and defects during the warranty period. However this subject to the machine being used and maintained according to the supplied manual. You must retain the original packaging for the purposes of transporting your machine.

This warranty is not transferable, it is valid only for the original purchaser from new.  

Warranty period

There is a two year warranty with all new Janome machines, covering both parts and labour, with the exception of the HD9 model which comes with a 12 month warranty. 

This only applies to machines in normal domestic use, machines used for teaching or commercial purposes have a one year warranty.

Machines purchased at an educational price have no warranty available.

Can the warranty be extended?

You are able to extend the two year standard warranty to a maximum of 5 years, by purchasing one of Janome's extended warranties within 30 days from the date of purchase. The first two years will still be with us here at The Sewing Studio, any extended years will be direct with Janome.

Is everything covered by the warranty?

Accidental damage and wear and tear are excluded, as is timing and consumable parts such as needle threaders, needles, bobbins, bobbin cases, needle plates, light bulbs, blades, bolts, presser feet, tools and embroidery frames.  

How do I register my machine?

Included with each machine is a Warranty Registration Card, simply fill that in and send it off.

How do I request for warranty work to be carried out?

If you think your machine is faulty please contact us us in the first instance, as we may be able to help overcome any issues you are experiencing. Our aim is to help save you time and money in diagnosing and fixing problems so that you are not left out of pocket, or without the use of your new sewing machine for any length of time and without the expense of sending it back to us.
