What support do I get when purchasing a Brother?

When choosing a Brother machine, they know that you are looking to perfect your craft so are there to help you get the most out of your machine. Warranty Information

For your peace of mind, Brother offer a warranty with all new machines to protect against any manufacturing faults and defects during the warranty period. However this subject to the machine being used and maintained according to the supplied manual. You must retain the original packaging for the purposes of transporting your machine.

This warranty is not transferable, it is valid only for the original purchaser from new.  

Warranty period

There is a three year warranty with all new Brother machines, with the exception of the Innov-is XE1 and XJ1 which come with a five year warranty.

This only applies to machines in normal domestic use, machines used for teaching or commercial purposes have a one year warranty.

Machines purchased at an educational price have no warranty available.

Can the warranty be extended?

The warranty periods detailed above are the maximum amount of years available, they cannot be extended.

Is everything covered by the warranty?

Accidental damage and wear and tear are excluded, as is timing and consumable parts such as needle threaders, needles, bobbins, bobbin cases, needle plates, light bulbs, blades, bolts, presser feet, tools and embroidery frames. 

How do I register my machine?

Brother do not specify a need for you to register your machine, however you must retain your receipt/invoice as proof of purchase. 

How do I request for warranty work to be carried out?

If you think your machine is faulty please contact us us in the first instance, as we may be able to help overcome any issues you are experiencing. Our aim is to help save you time and money in diagnosing and fixing problems so that you are not left out of pocket, or without the use of your new sewing machine for any length of time and without the expense of sending it back to us.
