What support do I get when purchasing a Bernina?

Bernina machines are designed to give you many years of happy and productive sewing. As well as producing quality machines, Bernina are passionate about tuition and want you to get the most out of your machine, for that reason, they offer a free training course held in their London tuition centre. In addition to this, Bernina Sewing Machines (excluding models 325 & 335) have built in on-screen help, sewing tutorials and creative consultant to help you get the best results every time.

And if that wasn't enough, they also have mastery work books to help you learn your Bernina machine as you work step by step through hands on activities from the my Bernina mastery workbooks, which can be found here

Warranty Information

For your peace of mind, Bernina offer a warranty with all new machines to protect against any manufacturing faults and defects during the warranty period. However this subject to the machine being used and maintained according to the supplied manual. You must retain the original packaging for the purposes of transporting your machine.

The warranty is not transferable, it is valid only for the original purchaser from new.

* Exclusive to the UK, Bernina offer a 7 year warranty on newly purchased sewing and embroidery machines, so long as your machine is used and looked after according to the maintenance section of your manual and they are serviced by a Bernina Service Engineer every 3 years or when your machine indicates that a service is required, whichever is sooner.

The above warranty periods only apply to machines in normal domestic use, machines used for teaching or commercial purposes have a one year warranty.

Can I extend the warranty period?

The warranty periods detailed above are the maximum amount of years available, they cannot be extended.

Is everything covered by the warranty?

Accidental damage and wear and tear are excluded, as is timing and consumable parts such as needle threaders, needles, bobbins, bobbin cases, needle plates, light bulbs, blades, bolts, presser feet, tools and embroidery frames. 

How do I register my machine?

Included with each machine is a Warranty Registration Card, simply fill that in and send it off. There is a section for the retailers stamp, we do not stamp this beforehand as we do not want to disturb your well packaged machine, however you are able to write our details in the box, they are:

How do I request for warranty work to be carried out?

If you think your machine is faulty please contact us us in the first instance, as we may be able to help overcome any issues you are experiencing. Our aim is to help save you time and money in diagnosing and fixing problems so that you are not left out of pocket, or without the use of your new sewing machine for any length of time and without the expense of sending it back to us.
