What Support Can I Expect When Purchasing a Bernette machine?

Warranty Information

All new Bernette machines come with a manufacturer’s warranty that protects against manufacturing faults and defects during the warranty period. The warranty applies when the machine is used and maintained in accordance with the user manual (a downloadable copy is available from Bernette). Please keep your original packaging for safe transportation of the machine.

Please note, the warranty is non-transferable and valid only for the original purchaser.

⚠️ Important: Please keep the original packaging in case the machine needs to be returned for repair.

Key Warranty Details:

  • Standard Bernette Warranty: 2 years
  • Domestic use only - commercial/teaching use: 1 year
  • Educational discount machines: No warranty

🛠 The Sewing Studio is an authorised Janome service centre. We carry out warranty repairs in-house, so if anything goes wrong, our expert technicians can take care of it for you.

Can the Warranty Be Extended?

The warranty periods listed above are the maximum and cannot be extended.

What’s Not Covered?

The warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental damage or wear and tear
  • Timing issues
  • Consumables and minor parts such as: 
    • Needle threaders, needles, bobbins, bobbin cases, needle plates
    • Light bulbs, blades, belts, presser feet, embroidery frames, and tools

How Do I Register My Machine?

Machines can be registered through the Bernette website.
