What Support Can I Expect When Purchasing a Brother machine?

Warranty Information
All new Brother machines come with a manufacturer’s warranty, providing protection against defects or faults for a set period. This warranty applies when the machine is used and maintained according to the instructions in the user manual. For transportation, the original packaging must be retained.
Please note, the warranty is non-transferable and valid only for the original purchaser.
⚠️ Important: Please keep the original packaging in case the machine needs to be returned for repair.
Key Warranty Details:
- Most Brother machines: 3 years
- Innov-is XE2 and XJ2 models: 5 years
- Domestic use only - commercial/teaching use: 1 year
- VR, PR1X, PR680W and PR1055: 1 Year
- Educational discount machines: No warranty
🛠 The Sewing Studio is an authorised Janome service centre. We carry out warranty repairs in-house, so if anything goes wrong, our expert technicians can take care of it for you.
Can the Warranty Be Extended?
The warranty periods listed above are the maximum and cannot be extended.
What’s Not Covered?
The warranty does not cover:
- Accidental damage or wear and tear
- Timing issues
- Consumables and minor parts such as:
- Needle threaders, needles, bobbins, bobbin cases, needle plates
- Light bulbs, blades, belts, presser feet, embroidery frames, and tools
How Do I Register My Machine?
Brother does not require registration of your machine. Retain your original receipt or invoice as proof of purchase.
