What Support Can I Expect When Purchasing a Bernina machine?
Bernina machines are built for many years of enjoyable, productive sewing. Beyond their quality engineering, Bernina is passionate about helping you get the most from your machine.

- Mastery Workbooks – Step-by-step workbooks guide you through hands-on activities to help you learn and master your Bernina. Available through Bernina's support page
- Free Training Courses – Bernina offers complimentary training at their London Tuition Centre (excluding models 325 & 335). For details and booking, you must register your machine, see below for details.

Warranty Information
Every new Bernina machine is covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, protecting against faults and defects during the warranty period. This applies when the machine is used and maintained in accordance with the user manual. Please keep your original packaging for safe transportation.
Please note, the warranty is non-transferable and valid only for the original purchaser.
⚠️ Important: Please keep the original packaging in case the machine needs to be returned for repair.
Key Warranty Details:
- Sewing & Embroidery Machines: Parts - 7 years. Labour - 7 years
- UK Exclusive: The 7-year warranty applies if the machine is serviced by a Bernina Service Engineer every 2 years, or when the machine requests a service, whichever comes first.
- Overlock & Coverstitch Machines: Electrical - 2 years, Mechanical - 5 Years
- Domestic use only - commercial/teaching use: 1 year
- Educational discount machines: No warranty
🛠 The Sewing Studio is an authorised Janome service centre. We carry out warranty repairs in-house, so if anything goes wrong, our expert technicians can take care of it for you.
Can the Warranty Be Extended?
The warranty periods listed above are the maximum and cannot be extended.
What’s Not Covered?
The warranty does not cover:
- Accidental damage or wear and tear
- Timing issues
- Consumables and minor parts such as:
- Needle threaders, needles, bobbins, bobbin cases, needle plates
- Light bulbs, blades, belts, presser feet, embroidery frames, and tools
How Do I Register My Machine?
Each Bernina Machine comes with a Warranty Registration Card, fill this out and return it. You can write The Sewing Studio’s details in the retailer box:
